BLO Vintage is thrilled to announce a collaborative Collection in honor of Christina Davidson and the CF movement she has started.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Christina Davidson has lived her entire life with a secret. It’s one she finally decided it was time to share. "I didn't want to spend my last time on earth begging for money, begging my friends to please donate,” the Cross Plains native said. The 23-year-old has cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening disease that can clog the lungs and digestive system, and eventually deteriorate the entire body. It makes her very susceptible to diseases, and puts her in the hospital every few months. “It feels like you have been smoking for 50 years and you have something just sitting on your chest all the time,” she said.

According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a person who is diagnosed early can survive into their early 40s with the right treatment.

Just before Christmas, Davidson called her mother in the middle of the night to get help shooting a video. They posted it on Facebook thinking it would help family and friends understand. In less than a month, more than 11.5 million people around the world have seen it. Davidson isn't letting the attention go to waste. She's started her own foundation to bring awareness and hopefully raise money for people who can't afford the lung transplants or medicine to prolong their lives.

"We have one of the biggest cystic fibrosis movements going on the world has ever seen,” Davidson said.
